A Visit To the Baguio Cathedral

When we decided to spend our Christmas holidays in Baguio City, our first in the itinerary was a visit to the cathedral.

I am not that religious, as I had always stated,I had these hang-ups with my religion, but my faith to the One true Creator is far greater than my disloyalty to the sect to which I belong. Uh oh! My queer beliefs are not the issue of this post. Ha ha!

So, right after freshening up a bit in our rented place, off we traverse the road leading to Session Road and climb up until we caught sight of the twin rust colored spires of the Cathedral.

There’s the Baguio Cathedral in all its pink glory…

After hearing an English mass, we stayed for a while because the kids had to buy the popular “strawberry taho” which sells for 15 pesos per a small cup…

It’s fulfilling having to visit a church and attend a mass as a family. It gives a sense of togetherness. And, of course, of happiness, lasting peace and is very much comforting to the soul.
